Central Texas Writing Project focuses the knowledge, expertise, and leadership of Central Texas educators on sustained efforts to improve writing and literacy learning at all levels, early childhood through university, and across disciplines.  Our goal is to support a community of educators as they learn from each other and develop their own writing and teaching strengths.

YOUNG WRITERS CAMPS

San Marcos and Round Rock

CTWP teachers share the belief that students learn to write when they are inspired in a supportive, non-threatening environment. Our goal for Young Writers’ Camp is to give all our young writers, regardless of skill level, the opportunity to compose in a variety of styles, to become more self-confident in their own writing ability, and to learn to appreciate the ability of others.

Please consider registering your child for one of the following writing camps held at Texas State University- San Marcos Campus. Cost is $250 and includes a T-shirt, snacks, and a published anthology with a collection of the writing submitted by each participant.
